مباراة ملاكمة مزورة تنتهي بشكل خاطئ تربط مصائر ثلاثة رجال غير مكتملين. فريد كاماجي ملاكم هاوٍ طموح تجاوز سن الاحتراف. في إحدى الليالي، يقرر فريد سرًا الصعود إلى الحلبة في ليلة افتتاح ريتا، وهو ملهى ليلي في الأحياء الفقيرة، بدلاً من قيادة سيارة أجرة أخيه في نوبة تلك الليلة. إلياس كارجي، رجل في منتصف العمر وهو مافيا في الأحياء الفقيرة، يمتلك الملهى الليلي. يحاول تقوية علاقته بابنه من خلال تنظيم مباراة ليلة الافتتاح، حيث يتم وضع رهان سري. يراهن بابور طه أونر، ابن عم فريد، بكل الأموال التي سرقها من عمه على فريد، على أمل أن يفوز بالجائزة الكبرى. عندما يتغلب فريد على خصمه المحترف في الحلبة، تتكشف سلسلة من الأحداث التي تؤدي إلى وفاة شقيقه علي.
